Karen Marshall, three weeks before her eighteenth birthday is snatched in England by a man bearing a grudge against her father. She's passed to a ‘People Trader' who supplies the brothels of the Middle East. However, private buyers, who purchase for their own pleasure, on hearing about Karen's availability, request photos of her. The ‘People Traders', although experienced in breaking the wills of their victims, are well aware they have taken on a girl who is not run of the mill. She's intelligent, clever and very capable of defending herself, mainly because of her background of self defense, kick boxing and martial arts training. However, with such high bids for the girl, they take on the difficult task of not only breaking her spirit, but preparing her for this new life. Very soon Karen realises that she is alone and no one is coming to rescue her. So she reluctantly decides to play along and see what happens, but still with the belief there is always a chance of escape.
After a bizarre set of circumstances, following a night of gambling among the traffickers, everything changes for Karen. She is freed following a daring rescue. However, worse is to come, split from her rescuers, she's in a country where she can not speak the language, full of corruption and openly hostile.
Meanwhile her buyer wants her back and offers a huge reward for her capture. This means for Karen there is nowhere to hide, no one to help, leaving few options, to either return to her buyer, fight for her freedom or die...

The Background for the story........
People, mainly children, are moved around the world by ‘People Traders' who either pre-sell the children, or offer them to buyers at auctions which can be described as similar to the ancient slave markets.
The most prized of all in these markets, are European children, from babies to older teenagers. The older ones, particularly young girls are always in demand, being ready with little preparation, to go to work immediately.
While many are destined for the lucrative brothels within the European countries, some children are purchased by wealthy buyers for their own personal use, often killed or sent on to the brothels, when they are considered old or fall ill.
Although it is documented that while some young women go on to bear children for the buyer, and may have a reasonable life, it has to be remembered these people are still prisoners, many still held against their will.
